In preparing this tutorial we have drawn on a range of sources:
- The basic structure and content of the tutorial is based around the standard ECS presentation which was first developed in 2006 by Andy Gravell, Michael Kraft and Su White.
- Further input has been made by various colleagues in ECS in particular Hugh Davis and Dave Millard.
- The idea for an online tutorial was based on work done originally by Penn State University in the US, and subsequently developed by Geographers in the Dialog+ Project (a collaboration between the four universities: Penn State, Sheffield, Southampton and University of California Santa Barbara)
- We also acknowledge work done by Rochester Institute of Technology
- The University of Southampton Academic Integrity Statement acknowledges work done at
the University of Kent www.kent.ac.uk/uelt/ai/students/goodpractice.html
and Edinburgh College of Art http://www.eca.ac.uk/foi/files/AcademicMisconduct.pdf - Some of the test questions were based on material developed by the University of Manitoba as part of their Academic Honesty Quiz http://www.cc.umanitoba.ca/student/resource/student_advocacy/academic_honesty_quiz.shtml
