1.Project Brief: Festivals and Events
For this project, you will create a digital festival or event. You will be responsible for programming the theme and content of this event, which will consist of a website with at least three pages (a homepage, a programme page, and an ‘About’ page), a public live-streaming account (like YouTube, Vimeo or Twitch), and a social media account (like Facebook) or regular mailing list (such as Mailchimp). You will also need to adjust your digital profile accordingly based on the kind of event you would like to host.
2.Introduction
Our annual film festival takes LGBTQ culture as the background and “True Love” as the theme. The three-day festival will be held at the end of June. In addition to a regular film tour, we will also include live content from well-known directors and LGBTQ scholars in our three-day schedule, where you can gain a closer connection with LGBTQ culture. Of course, our official website will still be open to the public after the festival to promote LGBTQ. We hope that by screening and presenting films that reflect the reality of the LGBTQ community, we can convey the humanistic and social value of everyone’s Love and equality to everyone by presenting different LGBTQ films.

4.Presenting the Project
After nearly a month of constant revision and improvement, the final website design and presentation of the project is a little different from the original deliverable submission.
First of all, in the video of the homepage on the website, we intend to design two main promotional videos, as we have the trailer for the film festival. But in the actual production process, we found that the second video content was much similar to the first video, then we changed it as four short videos which are published on YouTube.

Secondly, in the celebrity live show module, we had originally planned to invite four well-known LGBTQ filmmaker to broadcast live. But after discussing with team members, we found that, compared with well-known scholars who focus on LGBTQ culture, the film director has less understanding on LGBTQ, this is a disadvantage for our festival of culture connotation transmission. Therefore, in addition to the original director live show, we also added two LGBTQ well-known scholars broadcast content to the celebrity live module.

Finally, on The About page of the website, we originally planned to set up The Policy section. However, as the project progressed, the content of each section was fully described on each Program page, and no additional explanation of the final policy was needed. Therefore, we cancelled The policy section.

5.The Appendix
The example of Weibo content
LGBTQ has been widely understood by people in society over the years and has made many movies. On Douban.com, the top 10 LGBTQ movies are very popular. The number one ranking is: Please call me by your name. This movie was filmed in 2017 from the United Kingdom. It is an adult romance drama. The plot is created with the same name as a novel. It mainly talks about a 17-year-old boy and his professor father 24-year-old graduate student in northern Italy in 1983. The relationship between assistants. The movie, always with a sultry melody and an eager desire to transcend life, is a kind of gentleness in the quiet of the night, and it resonates in the heart of private taste.
The film festival is a cultural pilgrimage for a film, a carnival feast of a film. The festival is well-deserved and has become a powerful promoter of film art. The world-famous film festivals all contribute to the development and progress of world film art through their own influence. As the host of the local lgbt film festival, we hope that through this film festival, we will speak for the lgbt group and let more people know, understand and accept the lgbt group. Love has no gender.
The second movie is a movie about life and LGBTQ, released in Japan in 2017. The film mainly talks about a little girl who originally lived with her mother. One day her mother ran away from home and had to go to her uncle. Unexpectedly, her uncle’s cohabiting lover was a transsexual with a wrong body and had become a girl by surgery. Although the children are full of curiosity, their kind and gentle care gradually let the children put down their precautions. He helped him tie his hair, made a cute cartoon bento for himself, and taught her to knit. These were the loves she had never felt by her mother. However, society ’s unfriendly attitude towards transgender people also affects the little girl ’s interpersonal interactions in school. She does not understand why everyone ’s mother hates her family; this is how Japan educates children without covering their eyes. Lead the audience to face the LGBTQ group, listen to their hearts, understand their bodies, and discuss social issues such as discrimination and abandonment. The theme of our film festival is True Love，we hope through this festival let more people feel the true mean of love and the beauty of love. Everyone has the right to love. No matter who your loved one is, if you feel happiness, just love!
