Welcome to Southampton Education School…

Working in partnership with a range of organisations in the UK and overseas, the Southampton Education School is advancing policy and practice in education, teaching and learning around the world. Through research we aim to respond to some of today’s key issues; how people will work, the health of future generations, the issue of social equality and how to ensure a flow of people with the science, technology, engineering and maths skills to help address environmental and other challenges.

The School’s research has an excellent international reputation, ranked 7th in the UK for our research intensity and impact.  You will be working in a challenging learning environment with academics at the forefront of their disciplines.  For teaching, we are currently ranked 7th in the Guardian university league tables and 7th in the Complete University Guide.

The University of Southampton is a Russell Group University, and was one of the highest rated of 22 UK universities listed in the Centre for Higher Education Development’s ranking of excellent European graduate programmes.
