What is life at sea like for an oceanographer?

In this short video some of our University staff talk about their life at sea. They answer questions not only about oceanography, but also what they enjoy the most about being an oceanographer, and what they sometimes miss when they are at sea.

 

 

As well as the insightful video from oceanographer above, you can also see an amazing TED talk showing off some incredible marine life including cuttlefish, squid, and octopus. You can also see some astounding deep sea life, and the bioluminescent patterns they use to communicate with and lure in other creatures.
