Year Three
The third year continues to broaden and deepen the level of intellectual challenge. In Year Three, you will further develop your understanding of the psychological and criminological responses to offending and the reactions to it. Modules allow you to build upon your understanding of the topics presented earlier in your degree.
In your third year, you will spend a significant part of your time on your dissertation (CRIM3013), based on the proposal you wrote in SOCI2020, and which you will complete under the supervision of a member of staff in SSPC. The Research Paper will be the culmination of your three years research training and will constitute a valuable piece of criminological psychology research, the best example of which will be presented a prize.
These pages will introduce you to:
- Year Three modules (including important information about signing up to “optional” modules and BPS Accreditation) and the Dissertation
- The School of Psychology’s Research Participation Scheme in Year Three
- Information on the criteria you need to meet to graduate and your options if you do not meet these criteria.
