Year One Awards

A range of awards can be won each year by Undergraduate Students in Psychology, in recognition of exceptional academic and intellectual achievements.

Accordingly, the following prize can be won by Year One BSc Psychology undergraduates:

Mini-Scholarship Awards

  • Quantity: 20 awards available
  • Prize: £500 per award

In Year One, the top 10 performers in Semesters One and in Semester Two will each receive £500 (with the proviso that students can only be awarded such mini-scholarship once per year). Ten students with the highest aggregate marks in each Semester (which aggregate mark must be over 65) will also each receive £500.

Employability Award

  • Quantity: 1
  • Prize: £100

In Year One, £100 will be awarded to the best performing student based on reflections and evidence uploaded to the ‘My Employability’ Personal Development Portfolio (PDP) on efolio. High academic marks are not necessarily required.   Note: Any student can win this prize regardless of other academic awards; however, the same student cannot have won this prize in previous years.
