Erasmus European Exchange Opportunities

 
 
 

Current University of Southampton students can choose to spend a semester or a year abroad to enhance their experience and boost their career opportunities. Students studying in Europe come under the Erasmus programme, which means that they are entitled to Erasmus funding.

The Southampton Education School and Psychology Academic Unit have a links with a number of partner international institutions, such as Universitat Hamburg and University of Heidelberg in Germany, University of Twente and Universiteit van Amsterdam in the Netherlands, University of Western Ontario in Canada and University of Malmo in Sweden.

In terms of other criteria that you may have to meet, exchange students must:

  • Be registered at the University as an undergraduate, postgraduate or doctoral student
  • Have successfully completed their first year of undergraduate study
  • Have sufficient academic and linguistic ability to be able to benefit from a study period abroad
  • Be nominated by their Faculty or Academic Unit to take part in the scheme.
